Friends of CVU

Attendance:

Dennis Bedard, Mary Pellegrino, Susan K., Wendy Saville, Jane Michaud, Margie S., Anne Machee, Lee Blanchard, Mary Crane, Deb Mayfield

School store: Sue King came in to discuss new location. Looking to have Friends purchase matching cabinets, for Friends merchandise. Will spend up to 1000.00. Possibly also donating a hot dog machine for events.

Outdoor Space: Wendy will talk to Sue about the cost of patio furniture to be donated in honor of Val. There is also to be a plaque for Val on the furniture.

Library tour: Data & Dessert to be held on Thursday, March 10,2005. Ellen has already done publications for this. Setup will be at 6:30.

School Mascot: 3 choices of possible mascots will be brought to the school committee and they will make the final decision.

Grants: Applications for grants have been reviewed. Nine requests were submitted, 5 were issued. They were issued to CVU Jazz Ensemble, Phoenix Program, Raising Aspirations, Duo Program, and The Year Book for a total of $3,725.00.

Options Beyond High School: Friends will not be participating in the Options Beyond High School next year, committee will not be needed for this.

Staff Appreciation Day: May 25^th(?) Town reps will be posted online to plan for this.

Student Appreciation Day: Four kids to get engraved plaques, one from each grade. Dennis and Lee will take care of.

End of Year: Plan for committee changes at the end of the year.

April Friends Meeting: April meeting will be a tour of the school.
