Dessert with the principal was held March 10 – There were just 7 people who attended this event. We discussed the possibility of having only one of these next year

 

Stowe bus report – Had to make up several trips because of very cold weather. Lots of interes – 53 students signed up.

 

Options Beyond High School – There was no one at the meeting to report on this event

Discussed ideas for increasing participation

·        Broadcasting e-mail for monthly meetings

·        Postcards for events

·        Website – If the website contained only information about events we sponsor and the mission, it would not have to be maintained

·        Send thank you cards to new members in the Fall.

 

Staff Appreciation May 26 – we need to let town reps know that they will be asked to call people for food. Karen Whitby will give the list of town reps to Wendy Saville.

 

Dennis suggested that there should be a summary of the money that was donated in the monthly newsletter – Dennis will call Amy about this.

 

CY graduation party – Kay Gault is working on this

·        Exploring possibilites

·        Expecting 100 – 150 students

·        Hoping to raise about $4,000

·        Students would need to buy tickets

 

Calls will be made to verify names of members who have agreed to chair committees for next year.

·        Kay Gault – Lisa H for Freshman Parent Night. Jane M for Options, Fiduciary, and Clothing Sale (note that there will be a larger school store next year where these items could be sold daily)

Discussion about whereabouts of keys – it in unclear where all the sets of keys are at the present time

 

Update on school sign – still need to present to the Hinesburg Board. Need more information from Jeff about dimensions and the location before going to the board. Dennis will contact Jeff to get this information.

 

End of Year potluck will be held at Karen Whitby’s home on June 3rd at 6:00.
