In the journal Albert Hunter mentioned that he went out fishing and saw a big fish that could have been a catfish.

There are a lot of catfish species in the world and I will tell you about the catfish. The giant catfish is found all over the world. The biggest in the U.S. was found in Texas. But Albert Hunter probably didn't see a giant catfish because they weigh over 100 lbs. He probably saw a flathead catfish or another kind that lives in Vermont. One specie that lives in Vermont is the Flathead Catfish. The flathead is the second largest of the catfish species. The flathead can be up to 135 lbs. The Channel Catfish is a fish that can be caught at anytime of the year. This fish can be up to 55 lbs. Another specie is the Blue Catfish that can be found in big rivers and they find food with there strong sense of smell. This fish can be up to 121 lbs.
