Monday MLK day- no practice , ski on your own

Tuesday- Practice at 1:00 at Sleepy Hollow- Skate; parent drivers needed

Wednesday- Practice at 1:00 at Sleepy Hollow- Classic; parent drivers needed; wax on own for Friday's race

Thursday- practice at 1:00 at Sleepy Hollow- Skate;  parent drivers needed - wax on own for Friday's race

MMU Pursuits Bus leaves CVU at  1:00

Schedule:        2:30-3:15pm              Registration, Walker Building

                        4:00pm                       Girls Classic/Freestyle Pursuit – mass start

                        5:00pm                       Boys Classic/Freestyle Pursuit – mass start

                       

Race Format:   Each team will have 1-2 start lanes assigned on race day.  All racers will begin race with classic technique and race 3.5-4km lit loop.  Top 40 racers into start/finish area will proceed to designated “team corral” to exchange equipment at their discretion and continue 2.5k freestyle race.   Top 40 places will be determined at completion of freestyle race.  Classic racers who miss cut will finish at Timing Shack and be given a classic race time only.  Race will be scored by top 4 skiers per school at completion of freestyle race using classic results if necessary. 

  • Corrals will labeled and have rugs for skiers to stand or place equipment on
  • Classic Course TBD, approx distance 3.5km.  Tracks will be set on outside of race course, skiers may classic ski anywhere on trail. 
  • Freestyle Course TBD, approx distance 2.5km.  Middle lane of race course will be groomed for skating
St. Mike's Carnival at Sleepy Hollow on Jan 24th- come help Eli and group out while watching some awesome racing and CVU alumni! See Eli for more details

Craftsbury Marathon Details: Coaches have placed skiers on teams of 4; you need to let coaches know if you are not attending asap- running order due Jan 22- if you don't show or tell me too late you will influence your teammates eligibility to race!

NENSA Race Feb 6- please sign up on the google doc if you are racing or watching/volunteering. Coaches need a head count asap. This is not a mandatory race

Stowe Derby is Feb 28th- there is a google doc for you to sign up if you want to race. Pay Sarah the entry fee- she sends in one check . running orders due Feb 20th

J2/Eastern High School Registration is online- I sent out an email with the link and details, link to the left also works- please register online. Coaches will be at Grafton Pond to help out. JO's is at the same time opening up the field for lots of skiers- come tryout or just get in a good day of racing.
